Code of Conduct for WCS Members
The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to outline the common expectations for all participants involved in camelid sports, which is regulated by World Camelids Sports (WCS). These principles serve as a foundation to promote a positive environment, encourage good sportsmanship, and uphold a culture of respect throughout the camelid sports community. As representatives of the camelid sports community, this Code of Conduct applies at all times to the following individuals: Executive Board Members, Officers, Event & Non-Event Volunteers (including all committee, council, and task force members), Federation Employees, Member Federations, Participants, Jockeys (and their support personnel), Camel Owners and Trainers, Race Organizers and Managers, Licensed Officials, Coaches, Team Leaders, and anyone else appointed or authorized to act on behalf of the organization.
WCS Code of Ethics
World Camelids Sports (WCS), along with its administrative bodies, Member Federations, national and international partners, Local Organizing Committees for international camelid sports events, race participants, and all recognized organizations affiliated with the Federation (hereafter referred to as "World Camelids Sports Members"), affirm their dedication to the core values of camelids sports and the wider sports movement. The Federation is committed to the principles of respect, inclusivity, and equal opportunity, drawing inspiration from the rich traditions of camelid sport across cultures. The World Camelids Sports Members pledge to promote a culture of ethics and integrity within their respective domains and to exemplify these values as role models.
WCS Gender Equality Policy
WCS is committed to promoting gender equality, fairness, and inclusivity within the camelids sports environment. As a leading federation in the global camelids sports community, WCS strives to foster an environment where individuals of all genders can participate, excel, and contribute to the growth of this ancient and evolving sport. Gender inclusivity is at the heart of our organizational values, and we are dedicated to providing equal opportunities for all genders in every facet of camelids sports, both on and off the track. This includes administration and leadership roles. Historically, camelids sports, particularly camel racing, has been male-dominated, but as societal norms evolve, so does the involvement of women and marginalized gender groups. This policy outlines the principles and actions WCS takes to ensure gender inclusivity within camelids sports
WCS Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility Policy
The World Camelids Sports (WCS) is committed to the responsible development and growth of camelids sports as a global sport. As we expand the sport's reach, we acknowledge the need to incorporate sustainability and environmental responsibility into all aspects of our operations. This ensures that camelids sports can continue to thrive, grow, and develop for future generations without compromising the welfare of camelids or the environment. WCS aligns its sustainability practices with global standards, including the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) sustainability principles. By adopting these principles, we not only protect the sport but also ensure that our activities are conducted with minimal environmental impact and maximum social and economic benefits.
